Scientists warn of potential serious health effects of 5G

We the undersigned, more than 180 scientists and doctors from 35 countries, recommend a moratorium on the roll-out of the fifth generation, 5G, for telecommunication until potential hazards for human health and the environment have been fully investigated by scientists independent from industry. 5G will substantially increase exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on top of the 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, etc. for telecommunications already in place. RF-EMF has been proven to be harmful for humans and the environment.

So far many of the world’s governments have ignored the independent experts , and continued with their usual approach of listening only to the advice they want to hear.
However some are starting to listen to the public they represent.
Brussels and Geneva ban rollout of 5G for health reasons and call for investigation

In April 2019 Brussels and Geneva call for stop to 5G technology and questions the safety standards of wireless technology.

So what is happening in New Zealand? What if any steps have our elected representatives taken to consult with our people?
The answer is nothing.
I made a series of OIA requests tot he Ministers for Helath, Environment and Technology asking a series of question about official and independent advice they have sought an received. Their answers are shocking…. the Minister for Health David Clark admitted he relied only on advice from his hand picked advisors. The Minister for the Environment David Parker (or his assistants) reclassified expert advice that was sent to him as “correspondence”. The Minister of Technology Kris Faafoi and his team “lost” my request. This is not good enough, especially when local NZ advisors seem to be selected only if they have re chosen for a consistent have a bad habit of giving their Minister the advice they think he wants to hear.
We cannot rely on our elected representatives to protect our interests. We need to get informed, get active and connect to help create the future we want.

Stop the rollout of 5G until we have time for education. informed conversation and a public mandate for this experimental technology.
